Psychiatric Assessments & Management

Referral Information

For General Practitioners

Referrals are accepted for adult psychiatric assessment and management.

Please provide a written GP referral to Dr Navita Mysore including the reason for referral, relevant psychiatric history, medication list, and clinical question.

Initial Assessment
Available under MBS item 291 or 92435 (telehealth available).
A report with diagnosis and a 12-month management plan is provided to the referring GP.

Fee: $990
Medicare rebate: approx. $455 (subject to eligibility).

Adult ADHD & Autism Assessments
Available under MBS item 296.
Assessment packages from $2,500.

Note: Medicare items 291, 296 and 92435 cannot be used for WorkCover, NDIS, DSP or medico-legal assessments.

For Patients

Appointments can be booked online.

Before your appointment:

• Upload a valid GP referral

• Upload any relevant medical reports (if available)

A current GP referral is required for Medicare rebates.

Initial Assessment: $990 (Medicare rebate approx. $455)
Follow-up consultations: from $550 (45 minutes)

Care is currently provided via telehealth.
In-person appointments expected late 2026.

MEDICOLEGAL Assessments

Medico-legal referrals are accepted via insurers or legal representatives only.

Assessments are conducted in accordance with statutory guidelines including:

• AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (4th & 5th Editions)

• PIRS – NSW Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale

• GEPIC – Queensland Guidelines for the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment

Jurisdictions: Victoria, NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.

Reports provide independent psychiatric evaluation of diagnosis, causation (where required), permanent impairment, and functional impact.

Fitness for Duty / IME / JME

Assessment of mental capacity to safely perform occupational duties, including recommendations regarding work restrictions.

Fee: $3,500–$6,000

Total Permanent Disability (TPD) Assessments

Evaluation of TPD eligibility based on medical history, functional limitations and vocational impact.

Fee: $3,500–$5,000
