These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by Navi Veritas Ventures Pty Ltd and its subsidiaries (collectively, “Navi Veritas Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By engaging our services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our services, including but not limited to psychiatric consultations, medicolegal assessments, educational programs, and coaching services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. These Terms are in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and other relevant Australian legislation. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Navi Veritas Ventures offers a range of services, including but not limited to:
- Psychiatric consultations
- Medicolegal assessments
- Educational programs and tutorials
- Executive and leadership coaching
These services are provided via telehealth or in-person, as specified in the service agreement. All services are provided in compliance with the relevant professional standards set by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Payment Obligation
All fees for services provided by Navi Veritas Ventures must be paid in full prior to the commencement of any service. This includes, but is not limited to, fees for psychiatric consultations, medicolegal assessments, educational programs, and coaching sessions.
3.2 Method of Payment
Accepted payment methods will be advised at the time of booking. Payments may be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved payment methods as specified by Navi Veritas Ventures.
Where credit card payments are accepted, applicable processing surcharges may apply and will be disclosed at the time of payment.
Navi Veritas Ventures reserves the right to decline or disable certain payment methods at any time.
3.3 Non-Payment
Full payment must be received and cleared prior to the commencement of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. If payment is not received, Navi Veritas Ventures reserves the right to postpone, cancel, or withhold services.
3.4 Refunds
Refund requests will be assessed in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and the circumstances of the cancellation. Where services are cancelled by Navi Veritas Ventures prior to the appointment, a full refund of monies paid will be provided.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
4.1 Cancellation by Client
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to the contact information provided by Navi Veritas Ventures. Late cancellations and non-attendance may incur a cancellation fee reflecting the reserved clinical time and administrative costs associated with the appointment.
4.2 Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule appointments should be made at least 72 hours in advance where possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
4.3 Cancellation by Navi Veritas Ventures
Navi Veritas Ventures reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services at any time. In the event of a cancellation by Navi Veritas Ventures, you will be offered the opportunity to reschedule or receive a full refund of any fees paid for the canceled service.
5. Consent
5.1 Informed Consent
By engaging our services, you provide informed consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. This includes consent to the use of your health information for the purposes of diagnosis, treatment, and medicolegal assessments, in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), RANZCP guidelines, and AHPRA Medical Code.
5.2 Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. However, withdrawing consent may impact our ability to provide services to you. Any withdrawal of consent must be made in writing and sent to the contact information provided by Navi Veritas Ventures.
6. Use of AI Scribing Tools
6.1 AI Scribing
Navi Veritas Ventures may use AI-powered scribing tools to assist in the documentation of consultations, assessments, and other services. These tools are used to enhance accuracy and efficiency in record-keeping.
6.2 Confidentiality and Security
All information processed by AI scribing tools is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic). We ensure that AI scribing tools are compliant with industry standards for data security and confidentiality.
6.3 Consent to Use AI Tools
Navi Veritas Ventures may use secure AI-assisted documentation tools to support clinical record-keeping. Patients will be informed of the use of such tools and may notify the practice if they do not wish for AI-assisted documentation to be used during their consultation.
7. Confidentiality and Privacy
7.1 Confidential Information
All information disclosed by the Client during the course of services, including personal and health information, will be treated as confidential. Navi Veritas Ventures will not disclose such information to third parties except as required by law or as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
7.2 Data Security
Navi Veritas Ventures will take all reasonable measures to ensure the security of your personal and health information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), RANZCP guidelines, and AHPRA Medical Code.
8. Emergency and Crisis Services
Navi Veritas Ventures does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact emergency services on 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.
10. Limitation of Liability
Navi Veritas Ventures provides services in accordance with applicable professional standards and Australian law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or applicable healthcare legislation.
11. Intellectual Property
All content provided by Navi Veritas Ventures, including but not limited to written materials, tutorials, videos, and assessments, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on any content provided by Navi Veritas Ventures without express written permission.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
13. Amendments to Terms
Navi Veritas Ventures reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any amendments will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements or policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Navi Veritas Ventures with respect to the services provided and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
